Underrated RPG’s

There’s more out there than Final Fantasy games. Here are some often-missed RPG classics that never got their proper due for one reason or another… and most of them can be found for dirt cheap at your local game store!

1. Nier

-Engrossing plot with real heart and some truly unexpected twists

-Some of the best music ever produced for a video game

-Great characters with interesting personalities

-Melds a ton of different genres with the RPG experience, from God of War-style actioning to sidescrollers to overhead dungeon crawlers to bullet hell shooters, its all in there

-One of the most hilarious, foul-mouthed characters you will find anywhere

-Great character models

-Core combat can be repetitive, especially for the first half of the game

-Tedious (though completely optional) side quests-Besides the character models, graphics are underwhelming

-Gardening is boring and fishing is fundamentally broken (both are also optional)

Availability: On PS3 and Xbox 360, $12.99 used at Gamestop
